Make someone happy

This Coca-Cola commercial was released in 2014 by Coca-Cola™. It is aired yearly by Coca-Cola to promote their brand and to make people buy more of their product.

For winter occasions, such as Christmas eve, people want to buy something sweet, and pleasant for everyone to enjoy. Coca-Cola can deliver that in many ways, with their soda for example.

The commercial really lifts up the Christmas spirit brought by the time of the year, when everything is snowy and lighted with Christmas lights. By bringing Santa Claus in as well, it really wraps up the whole commercial. Making Coca-Cola target the market more towards the families with young children than for rather older couples.

The video makes the audience feel happy, as the actors perform deeds that brings joy to some people. For example, helping a friend to an ice field in winter, and spinning him around a bit in his wheelchair. The commercial also makes yourself feel happy, seeing other people having a good time, socializing and having zips from Coca-Colas on the Christmas table, with possible relatives and family. Coca-Cola really makes us all think back to why and how you should spend your Christmas.


Wild Coke

The Coca-Cola commercial was released in the winter of 2010 on YouTube by Coca-Cola. The commercial shows that Coca-Cola is wild in many ways. There are a lot of wild animals and the man is walking past them without fear. The man also walks in the mountains, so it is a dangerous experience. The commercial portrays how Coca-Cola can be a wild experiment.

In the Coca-Cola commercial there is a man who is asleep and then he goes  sleep walking in Africa, which is savage. He travels through a savanna and mountains and they are scary because of the wild animals and a high drop.  He just walks past the wild animals without being scared. He walks past some animals like elephants, a leopard and a hippo. In the end he goes to the fridge and take some Coca-Cola and travels back home. He is sits in front of his house with an animal and drinking the Coca-Cola which he got. He is very satisfied while drinking it.

In conclusion, the Coca-Cola commercial is designed to sell the beverage to young people who want wild experiences.

Do it like a girl

The Always commercial released in 2014 by Lauren Greenfield is feminist.

In this commercial there are punch of ordinary girls and few boys telling and showing what does it means to do something like a girl.

The message in this commercial is very important. It tells us that there’s nothing wrong by doing something like a girl because you’re a girl. If you’re a boy and reading this then we are deeply sorry.

When we are getting older we get the picture that there’s very huge differences between girl and boy doings. Girl wear pink and runs like a Bambie on slippery ice when boy are tough and badass in his doings. It’s not the case. This commercial goal is to change these pictures of girls and to encourage them to do whatever they want in the way they want it.

In this ad every girl and boy is different. It’s not just emphasizes the fact that we are all different and unique persons but it also shows us that there’s no rule that would determine what kind of persons we are. We do thing differently. There’s nothing that would determine how girls play soccer.

Always commercial mainly just defends feminism and stands with the girl power. Because every girl matter and every girl is strong. You too.

Don’t say I do it like a girl, say I CAN do it like a girl.

Ad review on Memphis burger commercial

The Memphis BBQ Burger commercial released in 2012 by two sibling fast food restaurant chains (Carl`s Jr& Hardees)  promotes a meaty super tasty looking hamburger with two incredibly looking women drawing the viewers in.

In the commercial two models are in sort of a cook off , looking at each others spitefully but then they bump together and some of girls pork meat flies on top of the others cheeseburger merging the two. It seems to have created the perfect burger. After that the women eat the burgers with two drooling men filming them.

The commercials main idea is filming the two sexy women making the burgers with the main audience being men. The usual gender roles seem to swapped in the commercial ,because usually for the men to handle the grill at BBQ`s. The two burgers accidentally merging could also be a metaphor for Carls`s Jr and Hardees cooperation.

The commercial has had quite a lot of criticism. It is even compared to soft core porn and it gives unrealistic expectations about women and the burger as shown below.
